Location: REMOTE

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Workday Security Administrator to play a critical role in shaping and evolving Workday security strategy in support of enterprise financial and human capital management. This role operates in a fast-paced, iterative delivery environment, enabling the organization to leverage Workday effectively, drive operational efficiency, support strategic decision-making, and protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of corporate data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, testing, release, and hypercare.
  • Provide expertise in security architecture, access controls, data privacy, and regulatory compliance across HCM, Financial, and Payroll modules.
  • Ensure solutions meet quality standards through thorough testing and validation.
  • Collaborate across multiple projects, balancing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering team members.
  • Evaluate new Workday features and third-party technologies to enhance system functionality and performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Workday security administration experience.
  • Expertise in creating, maintaining, and auditing security groups (user-based, role-based, constrained, unconstrained, intersection, segmented).
  • Proficient in configuring ISISSGs, domain and business process security policies, and securing Workday web services.
  • Strong knowledge of authentication policies: SAML SSO, MFA, OAuth 2.0, IP restriction, certificates, and keys.
  • Enterprise experience in least-privileged access aligned with compliance requirements.
  • Skilled in provisioning Implementer tenant access, Service Center Representative configuration, migration access, and proxy access.
  • Experienced in supporting bi-annual Workday platform releases, adoption planning, and regression testing.
  • Proficient in change management and release management procedures.
  • Ability to gather requirements, propose alternative designs, and solve access/business process issues with stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation skills and support for internal controls audits.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor s degree in IT, Information Security, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Workday Business Process configuration experience.
  • Workday implementation tools (EIB, Customer Central Management).
  • Building, modifying, and securing custom reports, dashboards, and calculated fields.
  • Workday Pro Certified.
  • Master s degree or equivalent experience.

Important Notes:

  • This is a part-time role: 20 hours per week for 6 months, with a slight possibility of extension.
  • Work is critical for maintaining enterprise security and efficiency in Workday HCM and Financial modules.
