Workday Security Consultant – HCM (Remote, 9+ Month Contract)
Hire Technology is seeking a highly skilled and assertive Workday Security Lead to support a 9+ month engagement. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in functional Workday security, demonstrate sound decision-making under pressure, and provide leadership in a fast-paced, post-production environment.
This is a remote contract with strong potential for extension.
This role is not a configuration-only position. We’re looking for someone who can work directly with the business to define requirements and design security solutions, along with hands-on configuration.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather and define Workday security requirements
- Design and implement Workday security solutions aligned to HCM needs
- Configure and maintain domain and business process security
- Build and manage security groups, roles, and access
- Support audits, compliance, and security reviews
- Troubleshoot security issues across HCM modules
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on Workday Security configuration experience
- Deep knowledge of Domain Security Policies
- Proven experience working directly with the business to gather requirements and design solutions
- Ability to operate in a consultative capacity, not just execute configuration tasks
- Expertise in: Payroll, Time Tracking/Attendance, Advanced Compensation
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience in large enterprise environments
- Workday certification
