We are seeking a highly experienced Workday SME / Solution Architect with strong expertise in Workday HCM and Financials. This role will be a mix of pre-sales, solutioning, and delivery, supporting business development efforts while leading end-to-end Workday implementations.
May involve pre-sales work to secure the bid.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Solutioning
· Partner with sales and business teams to support RFP/RFI responses and client proposals
· Participate in client discovery sessions to gather and analyze requirements
· Design and present end-to-end Workday solutions (HCM + Financials)
· Provide effort estimates, project scope, timelines, and pricing inputs
· Conduct solution demos and workshops to help secure new business
Architecture & Design
· Define overall Workday solution architecture across HCM and Financial modules
· Recommend best practices, configurations, and process improvements
· Design integration strategy using Workday Studio, EIB, and APIs
· Ensure scalability, performance, and compliance of solutions
Delivery & Implementation
· Lead end-to-end Workday implementations
· Oversee configuration, testing, and deployment activities
· Manage client stakeholders and cross-functional teams
· Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
Required Skills & Experience
· 8+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in Workday
· Strong expertise in:
o Workday HCM (Core HR, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, Recruiting)
o Workday Financials (Accounting, P2P, O2C, Expenses, Reporting)
· Experience in multiple full lifecycle Workday implementations
· Hands-on experience with:
o Workday Studio
o EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder)
o Workday Integrations & APIs
· Proven experience in pre-sales, solutioning, and client-facing roles
· Strong communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
· Workday HCM and/or Financials Certification
· Experience working with Workday partners or consulting firms
· Exposure to global implementations
· Industry experience (Healthcare, Finance, Retail, etc.)
