Senior IT Analyst / Programmer – Power Platform & Reporting Automation
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior IT Analyst / Programmer with strong expertise in Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, reporting, and automation to support reporting and automation initiatives for the SOFT Lab information system.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Power Platform/Power BI, healthcare technology environments, custom and vendor-supplied applications, data reporting, and automation. The candidate will work in a 2-week Agile sprint environment using Azure DevOps and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders across multiple teams.
The SOFT Lab system contains data in Google BigQuery and on-premises Oracle, requiring strong reporting, data integration, and analytical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, implement, and maintain custom system software, reporting solutions, and automation workflows.
Develop and maintain solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and Power BI.
Build interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for business and technical stakeholders.
Automate reporting and business processes using Power Platform tools.
Work with data residing in Google BigQuery and on-premises Oracle.
Evaluate alternative technical approaches and present recommendations to technical teams and leadership.
Maintain and enhance existing applications, reports, dashboards, and automation solutions.
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable reporting and automation solutions.
Produce and maintain system requirements, technical designs, documentation, resource inventories, and implementation plans.
Support both custom-developed and vendor-supplied applications.
Collaborate with healthcare technology, application, infrastructure, reporting, and business teams.
Work effectively with stakeholders across multiple departments and Mayo Group practices.
Participate in 2-week Agile development sprints and manage work through Azure DevOps.
Provide technical and project leadership to other team members when required.
Coordinate with vendors and external support teams for issue escalation and resolution.
Troubleshoot application, reporting, data, and system performance issues.
Support production environments and participate in 24/7 on-call support when required.
Follow software development and system design best practices.
Manage multiple complex assignments and projects simultaneously.
