Job Description - Audio Visual (AV) Technician

We are seeking experienced AV Technicians with at least 1+ year of hands-on experience configuring and installing audiovisual systems. This includes rack installation, cameras, microphones, conferencing equipment, displays/TVs, and integration into centralized systems.
Candidates with experience working with Cisco Room Kits, Extron, Crestron, or Bi-Amp are strongly preferred.
Tip: Candidates may be asked to provide examples or a scope of previous AV work for context.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test AV equipment to ensure full functionality before leaving the job site.
• Perform structured cabling tasks including terminating jacks, punchdowns, and completing work inside communication closets.
• Use punchdown tools with 66 and 110 blades, snips, knives, and other standard low-voltage tools.
• Follow low-voltage wiring standards and NEC requirements.
• Ensure all cabling is neatly routed and concealed where possible.
• Work in a client-facing environment-professional appearance and communication are required.
• Collaborate with on-site permanent staff and support additional cabling or troubleshooting as needed.
• Provide your own laptop for configuration work or remote support sessions from corporate teams.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to climb 8-10 ft ladders.
• Must have a reliable vehicle to travel to weekly job sites.

This is a Contract position based out of Wilmington, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
