We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and models within the Salesforce platform to ensure data integrity, support business objectives, and improve reporting and analytics capabilities. Key responsibilities include developing and running the ETL processes, managing data quality, integrating data between Salesforce and other systems, ensuring data governance and security, and collaborating with cross-functional teams like data analysts and business stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data models within Salesforce, including custom objects and fields, and optimize the overall data architecture for performance and scalability.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes to move and synchronize data between Salesforce and external systems, databases, and data warehouses.
- Use tools like Apex, SOQL, Python, or Java to build and automate data workflows, streamline processes, and enhance data operations.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data scientists, and other developers, to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline and integration issues, and tune data operations for optimal performance.
- Stay current with Salesforce features like Salesforce Data Cloud, Einstein GPT, and other AI-driven capabilities to advise on and implement new solutions.
Required skills and qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Salesforce data architecture and its various clouds (e.g., Sales, Service, Marketing).
- Experience with data integration and ETL tools.
- Proficiency in data engineering and related programming languages like Apex, SOQL, Python, or Java.
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data security principles.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and database concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
