Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Technical Expertise
Strong experience with HL7 FHIR (R4/R5), SMART on FHIR, RESTful APIs, and interoperability frameworks.
Deep understanding of HL7 v2, C-CDA, DICOM, IHE profiles (XDS, PIX/PDQ).
Hands-on experience with major EHR platforms (EPIC, Cerner, etc.).
Cloud architecture experience across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
Expertise in API gateways, microservices, event-driven architectures (Kafka), integration engines (Mirth, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf).
Domain Knowledge
Strong understanding of clinical workflows and provider operations (inpatient, outpatient, specialty care, ED).
Familiarity with clinical decision support, care management, quality measures, and patient engagement ecosystems.
Knowledge of terminology/ontology management (SNOMED, LOINC, ICD-10).
Roles & Responsibilities
10 18 years of total IT experience; 4 6 years in architecture roles.
3+ years experience with FHIR or clinical interoperability.
Bachelor's or Master s in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred certifications: TOGAF, HL7/FHIR, EPIC/Cerner certifications, Azure/AWS architect.

Clinical AI/ML use cases.
Remote patient monitoring, telehealth, and virtual care ecosystems.
