Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support initiatives within the Investment Management domain. This individual will partner closely with business stakeholders, product owners, operations teams, and technology teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and support the delivery of strategic solutions across middle office functions.

The ideal candidate will have strong investment management industry experience, hands-on exposure to middle office operations, and experience working within Agile environments using tools such as Jira.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Analyze current-state processes and identify opportunities for operational improvement and system optimization.
• Support initiatives related to investment management and middle office operations, including trade support, settlements, reconciliation, and operational workflows.
• Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and requirement gathering sessions with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams throughout the SDLC to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
• Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Utilize Jira to manage requirements, track user stories, defects, and project progress.
• Assist with UAT coordination, test case validation, issue resolution, and production support activities.
• Communicate project updates, risks, dependencies, and status to stakeholders and leadership teams.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst.
• Strong investment management industry experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting middle office operations and workflows.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proficiency using Jira and related project management/documentation tools.
• Strong experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with business, operations, and technology teams.
• Experience creating user stories, process flows, and functional documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working at Vanguard.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise initiatives within financial services environments.
• Familiarity with investment operations platforms, reconciliation tools, or trade lifecycle management processes.
• Exposure to data analysis and reporting tools.
• Experience working with distributed or offshore teams.
