Genesis10 is currently seeking an Information Security Analyst for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. In this role, you will work within Cybersecurity as part of the Information Protection Scanning team. Your responsibilities will include providing business expertise to configure and execute data scans, analyzing and validating results, and collaborating with engineering teams and data platform owners to ensure the timely disposition of scan findings and enhance data security.
Responsibilities: - Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Information Security Analysis
- Work in Cybersecurity as part of the Information Protection Scanning team, with responsibility for helping to provide business expertise to configure and execute data scans
- Collaborate effectively with Information Protection Engineering team members to analyze and validate scan results and make recommendations to tune the scanning tool
- Work effectively with owners of data platforms and applications to validate scan results and address their questions
- Follow up with owners of data platforms and applications to ensure timely dispositioning of scan results
- Capture any requirements needed for any systems modifications
- Support scanning program and general inquiries by researching, triaging, and drafting responses to email and Jira requests
- Work independently to conduct governance routines on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis
- Retrieve and validate data for accuracy and completeness
- Perform data reduction and processing to generate actionable insights
- Use AI tools ethically and responsibly for activities such as research, summarization, drafting, analysis, and decision support
Requirements: - 4 years of Information Security Analysis experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education
- 2 years in a governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) role, with experience in policy adherence monitoring, report development, and escalation
- Experience in a large financial services background
- Understanding how data discovery and classification tools (e.g., Securiti.ai) operate to effectively configure scans and interpret results
- Data Analysis & Validation skills needed to assess scan accuracy, identify false positives/negatives, and ensure results are reliable for decision-making
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication skills for working with application and data platform owners to explain findings and drive remediation actions
- Experience with tool tuning and optimization to improve scan precision and coverage
- Experience with workflow and automation tools (e.g., Jira, PowerBI, Tableau)
- Knowledge of Data Processing & ETL Concepts
- Documentation & Process Design skills to create clear process flows, requirements, and audit-ready artifacts
- AI Tool Utilization & Data Ethics knowledge to support productivity while ensuring compliance
- Program Management & Prioritization skills to manage multiple concurrent deliverables and enforce governance routines
Desired skills: - Strong understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance principles related to Information Security policies
- Experience with automated workflow tools including PowerBI, Tableau, and Jira
- Skills in data automation, ETL processes, and visualization
- Experience with AI-based classification and document scanning tools
- Strong documentation skills including design diagrams, process flows, and content writing
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and cloud service providers (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure)
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently and influence across organizational levels
- Demonstrated foundational AI literacy to effectively use approved AI tools
- Familiarity with data privacy, security, and data-handling standards when using AI tools
Pay range: $43.59 - $51.59 per hour
