About the Job- We are looking for an experienced SAP Resource Scheduling (RSH) Functional Consultant to join one of our enterprise client engagements. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in S/4HANA Service Management process, PM/CS, and HR streams to resolve cross-module dependencies, unit, integration, and UAT testing along with experience working in fast-paced enterprise environments.
Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced SAP consultant to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Resource Scheduling (RSH) functionality within an S/4HANA Service Management landscape.
- This role will own the end-to-end scheduling and dispatch capability that enables field technicians and service resources to be planned, assigned, and optimized against service orders, contracts, and maintenance plans.
- The consultant will work closely with Service Management, HR/technician master data, and cutover teams to ensure scheduling processes are fully integrated and production-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering and fit-gap analysis for Resource Scheduling / Multi-resource Scheduling (MRS) functionality within S/4HANA Service.
- Configure resource scheduling objects, including resource pools, qualifications, availability rules, and scheduling strategies (rule-based and optimizer-based).
- Integrate RSH with core Service Management processes: service orders, service contracts, maintenance notifications, and technician assignment.
- Configure and align technician availability and absence data via HR Mini-Master / time management integration.
- Define and configure scheduling board layouts, resource hierarchies, and dispatch views for planners and dispatchers.
- Design and test optimizer rules (skills, geography/territory, travel time, working hours, capacity) to support automated or semi-automated scheduling.
- Partner with functional leads on Service, PM/CS, and HR streams to resolve cross-module dependencies.
- Support data migration and cutover activities for resource master data, qualifications, and scheduling rules.
- Conduct unit, integration, and UAT testing for scheduling scenarios; document configuration and process flows.
- Provide hyper-care and post-go-live support, including issue triage and performance tuning of scheduling rules.
- Train dispatchers, planners, and technicians on scheduling board usage and exception handling.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of SAP functional/configuration experience, with at least 2 full-cycle implementations involving Service Management or Plant Maintenance.
- Hands-on configuration experience with SAP Resource Scheduling / Multi-resource Scheduling (MRS), including scheduling board setup and optimizer configuration.
- Strong understanding of S/4HANA Service Management processes: service orders, contracts, notifications, billing.
- Experience integrating scheduling with HR time/absence data (Mini-Master or equivalent).
- Familiarity with resource qualifications, skill-based matching, and territory/geography-based dispatch logic.
- Ability to translate business scheduling requirements into system configuration and process design.
- Experience working in distributed/offshore-onshore delivery models.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills; able to work directly with client dispatch/operations teams.
