.NET Software Engineer, 100% Remote (CST)
Brooksource is seeking a skilled .NET Developer to join our Fortune 5 healthcare client. This primarily a backend role is focused on building and supporting cloud‑native, distributed systems while integrating with legacy applications.
Responsibilities:
· Design, build, test, and support backend services using C# / .NET
· Work across legacy (.NET Framework) and modern (.NET Core / .NET 8) codebases
· Build and consume RESTful APIs
· Collaborate with teams & stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
· Participate in and lead code reviews; mentor junior and mid‑level engineers
· Build, deploy, monitor, and support production services
· Work within an Agile/Scrum environment across multiple initiatives
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of enterprise-level software development experience, specifically in a .NET environment
- Experience with both modern .NET Core (.NET 8) + older .NET Framework (4.6/4.7)
- Experience with C#
- Experience with microservices‑based architectures
- Facets experience
- Kubernetes
- Typescript front-end development
- SQL experience (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or related field OR 4 years’ relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Experience with Terraform, Python, DDD and TDD
- Team player mentality
- Healthcare domain experience
