Key Responsibilities - Balance payroll runs and perform payroll reconciliations.
- Conduct detailed payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Process ACH reversals and stop payments when necessary.
- Prepare and submit quarterly payroll tax returns.
- Initiate tax funding requirements and ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations.
- Serve as backup support for payroll specialists and assist with regular and off-cycle payroll processing.
- Monitor payroll workflows to ensure timely and accurate payroll transactions.
- Maintain leave plans and process adjustments as required.
- Audit payroll deductions and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly statistical reports and ad hoc management reports.
- Participate in special payroll-related projects.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of payroll experience with strong knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience performing payroll reconciliations, audits, and tax reporting.
- Ability to successfully pass a background investigation and credit check.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other business software applications.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Workday Payroll.
- Experience with time and attendance systems.
- Prior experience processing in-house payroll.
