Description

Robert Half Technology is seeking a Senior Salesforce Administrator to support and optimize a Salesforce environment in a highly collaborative, business-facing role. This individual will be responsible for platform management, enhancements, and user support, while driving scalable solutions and best practices across the organization.

Duration: Long-term contract

Location: 100% Onsite Portland, Oregon

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of user and license administration, including setup, deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, and sharing rules
  • Lead Salesforce configuration changes including Flows, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, apps, dashboards, and reports
  • Support and manage Salesforce-related projects and integrated enterprise systems
  • Maintain sandbox environments and oversee deployment processes
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, best-practice solutions
  • Identify opportunities to improve or optimize platform functionality and user experience
  • Develop and maintain a Salesforce roadmap, aligning with business priorities
  • Communicate platform updates, enhancements, and changes to end users and stakeholders
  • Ensure data quality through database management, automation, and governance best practices
  • Perform proactive system maintenance, including security reviews, release updates, and health checks
  • Provide ongoing user support and manage ticket resolution
  • Drive user adoption through training and enablement initiatives
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Manage integrations and relationships with third-party vendors and applications


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce Administration experience
  • Salesforce Administrator certification required
  • Experience working with complex system integrations
  • Strong project management experience at a senior level
  • Additional Salesforce certifications (Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, etc.) are a plus

  • Strong ability to analyze business processes and design scalable Salesforce solutions
  • Proactive approach to system improvements and platform enhancements
  • Experience implementing and managing Salesforce configuration changes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Experience with change management and governance processes
  • Proven ability to train and support end users
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have
  • Exposure to Apex/triggers or basic development knowledge
  • Experience within the Salesforce community or continued professional development
  • Experience with nonprofit-focused Salesforce environments or financial systems (e.g., fund accounting platforms)
