OverviewWe are seeking motivated, hands-on
Field Service Technicians to support a variety of
telecommunications and infrastructure projects across commercial, government, and radio communication sites in
Richmond, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates looking to gain practical experience in the field while working with critical technology systems.
Key Responsibilities- Install, route, and secure CAT5/CAT6 voice and data cabling
- Terminate and punch down cabling connections
- Perform rack and stack installations of servers, routers, and switches
- Assist with installation of radio and communication equipment
- Support infrastructure buildouts at various customer sites
- Assemble and set up workstations and related equipment
- Perform site preparation, including moving equipment and materials
- Ensure all systems are properly installed, tested, and operational
- Maintain clean and organized work environments
Required Skills & Experience- Basic experience with low-voltage cabling (CAT5/CAT6)
- Ability to terminate connectors/plugs and perform basic punch-downs
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and physical work
- Experience moving equipment or furniture and setting up workstations
- Willingness to work in a variety of environments, including active job sites
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn new skills
Nice-to-Have Qualifications- Exposure to telecommunications or structured cabling projects
- Familiarity with network hardware (routers, switches, servers)
- Basic understanding of radio or communications equipment
Work Environment- Field-based role with travel to commercial, government, and radio sites across Richmond, VA
- Physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- May involve working in tight spaces, variable weather conditions, or active operational environments
- Occasional interaction with customers and on-site personnel

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glen Allen, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
