Senior Power BI Lead- FP&A Analytics & AI-Driven Reporting

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Power BI Lead who can own the end-to-end financial analytics and reporting platform for our organization. This is not a maintenance or support role — you will design, build, and govern complex, enterprise-scale Power BI solutions that directly support FP&A, finance leadership, and business stakeholders.

You will combine deep technical Power BI expertise with strong FP&A domain knowledge and emerging AI capabilities to deliver actionable insights through dashboards, self-service analytics, and AI-augmented reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and deliver enterprise-scale Power BI solutions — Design, build, and maintain complex semantic models, data models, and interactive dashboards used across Finance, FP&A, and executive leadership. Drive performance optimization, governance, and deployment best practices using Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Premium.
• Build FP&A-grade financial reporting — Create and own actuals vs. budget, variance analysis (%), trend, and drill-down dashboards. Develop and maintain General Ledger (GL) and P&L reporting solutions with full traceability and auditability.
• Lead technical delivery and team coordination — Mentor and guide junior developers, manage the BI intake/backlog process, prioritize demand based on business impact, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Partner with and influence stakeholders — Act as the primary BI liaison to FP&A, Finance, and business leaders. Translate complex requirements into scalable solutions and drive adoption of self-service analytics.
• Integrate AI into reporting workflows — Implement and productionize AI capabilities including Copilot for Power BI, Azure OpenAI integrations, AI visuals, and NLP-driven analytics to accelerate insight generation and reduce manual effort.
• Drive data quality, row-level security (RLS), and enterprise governance standards across all financial reporting assets.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new Microsoft Fabric / Power BI features to keep the platform modern and high-performing.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on enterprise Power BI development with proven ownership of complex, large-scale dashboards and semantic models (not just maintenance or minor enhancements).
• Strong FP&A / Financial Reporting experience — Demonstrated work building actuals vs. budget, variance analysis, P&L, and General Ledger (GL) reporting solutions.
• Leadership & Delivery experience — Experience leading BI developers or small teams, managing intake/backlog (Agile/Scrum), prioritizing demand, and influencing senior business stakeholders.
• AI Integration experience — Hands-on work with at least one of the following: Copilot for Power BI, Azure OpenAI, AI visuals in Power BI, or NLP-driven analytics solutions.
• Advanced DAX, Power Query (M), data modeling, and performance tuning skills.
• Experience working in or with financial services, corporate finance, or FP&A environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Fabric experience (Lakehouse, Data Factory, OneLake, etc.).
• Experience with Power BI deployment pipelines, ALM Toolkit, or CI/CD for BI assets.
• Familiarity with financial data models (e.g., General Ledger structures, chart of accounts, multi-currency, consolidation).
• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer, or Azure AI Fundamentals.
• Experience enabling Copilot at enterprise scale (tenant settings, semantic model optimization, governance).
