Software Developer

Description

We are looking for a Software Developer to join a team in California on a long-term contract assignment. This Software Developer role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can build and support full stack applications while contributing to reporting and analytics solutions. The Software Developer position calls for someone who combines strong technical depth with sound judgment, clear communication, and a collaborative approach to solving business and technology challenges.

Responsibilities:

Create and enhance full stack software solutions using C# and the .NET ecosystem, delivering reliable functionality for both new development and ongoing improvements.

Develop secure, scalable backend components, including RESTful APIs, business logic, and integrations that support enterprise application needs.

Build responsive user interfaces with web technologies such as ASP.NET MVC, Razor, JavaScript, and jQuery to provide a smooth user experience.

Maintain and optimize existing applications by investigating defects, resolving performance issues, and applying updates that improve stability and usability.

Execute comprehensive testing and debugging activities to confirm application quality, security, and dependable performance across environments.

Manage code movement across cloud and on-premises environments, helping ensure consistent deployments and effective release practices.

Design and support database objects, queries, and stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server to enable efficient data processing and application performance.

Produce and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics outputs, while validating data accuracy and translating business reporting needs into practical solutions.

Partner with stakeholders, business users, and technical team members to gather requirements, shape solutions, and provide support for third-party vendor applications.

Offer technical guidance to less experienced developers and contribute to a team culture focused on knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience delivering successful results across routine assignments as well as larger software initiatives.
Strong background in full stack development, including application design, coding, testing, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, Razor, and JavaScript.
Experience developing and supporting APIs, enterprise applications, and data-driven solutions within Microsoft-based environments.
Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, query development, and stored procedure creation.
Familiarity with reporting, business intelligence, or analytics work such as dashboards, data validation, and operational reporting.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and work independently when needed.
Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive mindset focused on quality, security, and continuous learning.
