This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.
BGS - Government Training Engineering (GTE) is looking for a Contract Systems Engineer with engineering experience and a desire to support the development of aircrew training systems for one or more Air Dominance platforms, which include F-15, F-18, T-7A, MQ-25 and T-45. This position will provide an opportunity to help drive technical excellence through software/hardware integration activities at the system/product level for GTE products utilized in the training of aircrew and maintenance personnel.
Position Responsibilities:
Coordinate efforts between multiple engineering disciplines (e.g., software, hardware, mission assurance, etc.)
Develop System Integration Plans and Integration Procedures
Develop software load images for installation onto training devices
Integrate multiple subsystems making up a complete training device
Examples of subsystems include computational, networking, visual, communication and power systems
Troubleshoot system level issues on the training devices
Support formal testing events
Buildup, integration and test of training devices for final delivery at customer's site
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Undergraduate degree in engineering
Must have 9 years' experience within an engineering field
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Technical understanding and experience with one (or more) of the following: Hardware/Software Integration, File Servers, Computational Systems, Networking Systems, Visual Systems, Operating Systems (Windows and/or Linux) and Scripting
Experience working within a SAFe Agile organization utilizing planning tools such as Version One or JIRA
Experience with Training Systems and/or Boeing military aircraft platforms
