In this dynamic, hands-on role, you will champion the design, development, and commercialization of next-generation electronic systems. Operating with high autonomy, you will spearhead products from their earliest conceptual phases all the way to final manufacturing deployment.

This is an exceptional opportunity to drive technical innovation, own end-to-end hardware lifecycles, and deliver highly reliable physical solutions to the marketplace. This position can be based in either Mankato, MN or Alpharetta, GA, with comprehensive relocation assistance provided.

What You’ll Do

  • Champion complete electronic and electrical system architectures from initial whiteboard concepts through high-volume production, including schematic capture, rapid prototyping, and rigorous design refinement.

  • Drive project execution by autonomously establishing and managing development timelines, engineering budgets, and stringent quality assurance targets.

  • Synthesize physical hardware by designing, building, and benchmarking both rapid and production-grade prototypes to validate operational integrity and long-term reliability.

  • Author comprehensive technical specifications, detailed verification protocols, and formal product documentation to ensure alignment with performance standards.

  • Execute rigorous design validation processes, competitive benchmarks, and technical feasibility analyses to maintain a cutting-edge product portfolio.

  • Resolve highly complex electrical and electronic system failures throughout both active product development cycles and post-launch operations.

  • Maintain impeccable engineering configuration control by authoring formal Engineering Change Orders and managing complete product documentation packages.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, external manufacturing suppliers, and assembly partners to optimize tooling, production scalability, and assembly processes.

What You Bring

  • Possess a minimum of 5 to 15 years of professional experience specializing in Electrical Design Engineering, ideally within a high-paced Consumer Product Development environment.

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology.

  • Demonstrate advanced expertise in Schematic Reading and the utilization of robust Design Tools, including Circuit Simulation, technical Engineering Analysis, and Computer Aided Design platforms.

  • Exhibit a proven track record of taking complex hardware concepts from initial sketch through to fully scalable, manufacturable designs.

  • Utilize a solid understanding of Financial Modeling and structured New Product Development methodologies to align technical designs with business metrics.

  • Showcase exceptional diagnostic capabilities, analytical problem-solving instincts, and clear, articulate communication skills.

Compensation & Total Rewards

  • Annual Base Salary: $100,000 to $130,000 (commensurate with experience)

  • Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire

  • Benefits: Premium comprehensive benefits package

  • Relocation: Full relocation assistance provided
