Job Title: Varicent Solution Architect (ICM & TQP) Location: Austin, TX & Sunnyvale, CA (On-Site)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Varicent Solution Architect with expertise in both Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) and Territory & Quota Planning (TQP) to design, implement, and optimize end-to-end sales performance solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Varicent s platform, including data modeling, rule configuration, quota allocation, and territory design, along with integrations to enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end implementation of Varicent ICM & TQP solutions, including requirements gathering, design, development, and deployment.
Architect scalable compensation plans, quota models, and territory hierarchies within Varicent.
Configure rules, formulas, and business logic for incentive payouts, quota attainment, and territory assignments.
Design and optimize data models, ETL processes, and integrations with CRM (Salesforce), ERP (SAP/Oracle), and HRIS systems.
Develop quota allocation methodologies and territory alignment strategies to optimize sales performance.
Provide technical leadership in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and debugging Varicent implementations.
Collaborate with sales operations, finance, and HR teams to align compensation and territory strategies.
Mentor junior team members on Varicent ICM & TQP best practices.
Stay updated on Varicent s latest features (ICM, TQP, CPM) and industry trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience in Varicent ICM (must-have) and TQP (strongly preferred).
Strong expertise in Varicent Designer, Admin, and Analyst modules.
Proven experience in quota planning, territory design, and sales hierarchy management using Varicent TQP.
Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes for compensation & quota analytics.
Experience integrating Varicent with Salesforce, SAP, Workday, or other enterprise systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot compensation & quota calculation issues.
Excellent communication skills to engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Varicent certification (e.g., Varicent Certified Professional).
Experience with Varicent SaaS (CPM) or newer versions (Varicent 7+).
Background in sales compensation, territory planning, or sales operations
Familiarity with REST APIs, JavaScript, or Python for custom integrations.
