Business Solutions Analyst

Business Solutions Analyst to work on various strategic, innovative and process optimizations efforts at customer. This resource will perform needs analyses to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions; conduct business process reengineering; conduct feasibility studies and trade-off analyses; perform as a liaison between internal and external customers; consult with customers to identify, refine and specify functional requirements, and translate functional requirements into technical specifications; develop overall functional and systems requirements and specifications; prepare business cases for the application of IT solutions; define systems scope and objectives; develop cost estimates for new modified systems; ensure the integration of all system components; e.g., policies, procedures, training material, databases, software and hardware; conduct performance and reliability testing of new solutions; plan and participate in systems implementation and provide post-implementation support; and ensure the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles and practices to the systems analysis.

Primary Tasks:

·         Provide subject matter expertise to refine, amend, and communicate process modeling concepts, tools, and configuration aligned with BPMN 2.0 standards to support customer’s efforts to mature in this area.

·         Work with Architects in the evaluation of modeling tools that would suit both short – and long-term modeling efforts within the department.

·         Assess current modeling needs and recommend approaches to maximize adoption of process modeling standards and principles within the organization.

·         Work with the staff to identify relevant business processes for consideration for re-engineering in an orchestrated environment.

·         Support in developing and maintaining related business models, as-is process flows and to-be process flows, related to any cloud-aligned enhancement.

·         Facilitate workloads around analyzing and monitoring implemented changes to business processes and recommend changes and adjustments as needed.

·         Working with Development, Test and DevOps teams to facilitate testing, QA and release management of TO-BE Business Processes and its associated services, components.

·         Present written materials, findings, and viewpoints as directed to build consensus or drive work.

Knowledge Transfer Tasks:

·         Develop and implement a knowledge transfer process throughout the project duration to provide the staff with the necessary tools, knowledge base, and information to maintain process modeling activities.

·         Provide relevant architecture-level artifacts, standards, and documents in support of the discovery, configuration, and implementation phases of the project.

·         Document knowledge transfer process plans for any new solutions, processes or standards that require future state support by customer.

·         Execute the knowledge transfer process plan.

Mandatory Qualifications:

·         Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience applying analytical processes on IT projects. At least three (3) years of that experience must have been in business systems analysis and design.

·         Possession of a bachelor’s degree. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Desired Qualifications:

·         A minimum of five (5) years of progressively complex experience and advanced-level skill in analysis, architecture, design and process modeling of information systems, preferably in cloud-based environment.

·         A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in business process engineering using BPMN capable design and execution tool suites or workflow engines such as BAMOE, Logic Apps or similar.

·         Demonstrated experience with developing enterprise architecture artifacts, such as business modeling, as-is process flows, and to-be process flows for at least one (1) project in the last five (5) years.
