Job Description
We are seeking an Oracle Analytics Cloud / Essbase Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Analytics Cloud and Server, and Hyperion/EPM with Essbase, and a proven ability to install, configure, migrate, and tune platforms across Linux and Windows to ensure secure, reliable, and performant analytics and EPM services.
Responsibilities:
- Administer Oracle Essbase and EPM 11.x on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including standalone and full EPM stack deployments.
- Install and configure Essbase/EPM and support BSO/ASO applications, outlines, data loads, calculations, and aggregations.
- Execute core Essbase operations including service control, monitoring, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Develop and maintain UNIX MaxL scripts for administration, backups, automation, and routine maintenance.
- Manage Essbase data connections to Oracle ADW/ATP, Oracle DB (OCI/on-prem), SQL Server, and other sources, including wallet and credential management.
- Administer OCI compute, storage, backups/restores, and implement IAM/SSO/SSL security fundamentals.
- Provision, configure, scale, and manage Oracle Analytics Cloud, including tenancy and compartment administration.
- Plan and execute OAC upgrades, patches, monitoring, snapshots, service migrations, and OCI integrations.
- Administer OAC users and roles, integrate with OCI IAM/IDCS, configure SSO, and manage catalog permissions and group-based security.
- Implement object, row, and column level security, audit access, and enforce analytics security and compliance controls.
- Configure OAC data connections to ADW/ATP, Oracle DB, OCI Object Storage, on-prem databases, and third-party sources, with secure credential and wallet management.
- Migrate RPDs from Classic BI to OAC, manage semantic model versioning and deployments, perform consistency and impact analysis, and tune logical table sources.
- Optimize OAC performance through query analysis, cache configuration, query acceleration, dataflow tuning, workload and concurrency management, and troubleshooting of slow content.
- Manage OAC catalog organization and folder standards, migrate dashboards and reports, implement content version control, perform snapshot backups and restores, and archive obsolete content.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Expertise with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Analytics Server, Hyperion/EPM 11.x, and Essbase 21C.
- 7+ years administering OAC/OAS or OBIEE and OCI environments.
- Strong knowledge of Hyperion Planning, Essbase BSO/ASO, SmartView, and OAS.
- Proven installation, configuration, migration, and performance tuning experience.
- Proficiency with Linux and Windows platforms, WebLogic, and Oracle DB 12c/19c.
- Hands-on automation with Ansible and scripting using Essbase calc scripts and MaxL.
- Experience integrating with OID, LDAP, and MSAD for user and group management.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities with a collaborative approach.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based EPM solutions.
- Working knowledge of Linux administration, with strong communication and documentation skills.
