Title: Technical Writer
Location: Washington DC, (5 days on Site)

Technical Writer
The contractor shall independently develop, research, review, and update all system security and system documentation. The contractor shall evaluate all OIG systems moderate-impact level information technology (IT) systems and ensure documentation meets requirements set by OMB, NIST, and FedRAMP standards and guidance, including FISMA reporting requirements. The contractor will create and update Information Assurance artifacts, create and perform all duties within the Governance Risk and Compliance Tool (GRCT), update all cybersecurity documentation, and attend all related IT and Cybersecurity meetings. Attend quarterly Risk Management Workshops hosted by OCIO, identify, track, maintain, and update action items & statuses. Contractor staff shall collaborate with OIG Staff and Team Members on documentation review. When in attendance at organization meetings, the contractor will capture all meeting minutes and make them available to OIG staff within the timeframes. Contractor staff shall demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in the development of system security documents. Contractor staff shall also possess a thorough understanding of terminology, usage, operating characteristics of hardware, software, and operating components of information systems, as well as governmental policies and industry standards related to the following areas:
1. Information Technology Architecture
2. System security controls listed under NIST 800-53 Rev 4 and/or upcoming revisions.
3. OIG policies and procedures
4. Federal enterprise policies and procedures from OMB, NIST and DHS
5. FedRAMP Security Controls Baseline
6. GAO Government Auditing Standards
Experience: Typically has 4+ years of experience as a Technical Writer. Writing
Education: bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, English,
Language/Writing, or related. or any other related Cyber Security certifications (i.e.: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE))
EDUCATION
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
