Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day project activities using Agile/waterfall methodologies, including task assignments, tracking progress, and resolving minor roadblocks ensuring deliverables align with the project plan and timelines
- Oversee specific workstreams or phases of migration (e.g., data migration, system testing, or user training) alongside collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Ability to create detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables for the migration process.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks specific to S4 HANA migration
- Engage and manage expectations of diverse stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and SAP consultants.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, translating technical concepts into actionable tasks.
- Manage program budgets, ensure resource allocation aligns with financial constraints, and monitor costs effectively.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including IT, business, and external consultants, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
- Monitor resource utilization and ensure costs are within the defined budget for their specific workstream.
- Clearly articulate project goals, updates, and technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactively address roadblocks and technical challenges during the migration process.
- Make informed decisions, balancing technical feasibility and business needs.
- Monitor project progress using KPIs and metrics to ensure on-time delivery.
- Ability to analyze system and business data for migration readiness assessments.
- Proficiency in tools like MS Project, JIRA, Clarity and Smartsheet for tracking and reporting.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and use Agile methodologies when applicable.
- Ensure the migration adheres to relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX).
- Deep knowledge of business processes (e.g., finance, procurement, supply chain) to align migration with operational goals.
- Address operational challenges and escalate larger issues to senior PMs or leadership.
Education- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master's Degree and/or PMP certification desired.
Requirements- Technical and Functional understanding-
- Familiarity with SAP ERP systems, including ECC and S4 HANA, to understand migration requirements and challenges.
- Knowledge of data migration processes, tools (e.g., SAP Migration Cockpit), and strategies to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Understanding of how S4 HANA integrates with other systems (e.g., third-party applications, legacy systems).
- Awareness of hosting options and hyperscaler platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Understanding how S4 HANA simplifies business processes (e.g., finance, supply chain) to align migration goals with business objectives.
- Ability to manage custom code adjustments for compatibility with S4 HANA.
- Awareness of Fiori apps and the user experience enhancements in S4 HANA.
Vendor and Partner Management- Manage interactions with SAP and external consultants to resolve technical challenges and leverage their expertise.
- Oversee third-party vendors involved in integrations, hosting, or custom development.
Post-Migration Support and Optimization- Establish support mechanisms for the post-migration stabilization period.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements after go-live.
