Requirements: TaniumChecks for vulnerabilities on systems (Servers, desktop compute)Deploy patchesIntegrity monitoring - if someone alters files on your system, it will show an alertPerformance monitoringSIEM, SOARLog analysisThreat detection toolsCrowd Strike, etc.Tuning and ability to react as an incident responderNice-to-HavesCyberArk SplunkProject Details: This team is working with the greater organization as a whole to create an extremely secure "data center within a data center" to be utilized in the event that their current set up is attacked and deemed unusable. Right now, all information is housed in two data centers for redundancy in the event of failure. This group is working with information deemed "critical" to create a third location for this critical information. The idea is that the networks are configured and fully operational, but are not "turned on" until deemed necessary. This team has cyberresiliency specialists and other SMEs in house (i.e. SMEs in reporting, monitoring, backup platforms, systems engineering, network engineering, etc.) as the goal is that they are a fully functional unit to complete this project from end to end with minimal external support. Goal is hyper-security and being able to operate critical infrastructure in an attack.
Job Description: The Endpoint Security Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving the organization's endpoint security posture. This role is heavily focused on
Tanium-the team's primary security platform-and involves daily monitoring, patching, threat detection, and log analysis. The ideal candidate brings a solid cybersecurity background and hands-on experience with modern endpoint security tools. This person will deploy and configure security software like
Endpoint Protection Platforms (EPP) and
Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools (e.g., Tanium, and CrowdStrike) and automate the deployment of operating system and third-party application updates to close security gaps before attackers can exploit them. Additionally, the role will be responsible for creating and enforcing rules for end-users, such as guidelines for password management, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and the use of portable devices. Candidates should be comfortable using languages like
PowerShell,
Python, or
Bash, they script repetitive tasks such as tool deployments, health checks, and alerting workflows to increase efficiency.
