CCaaS (Contact Center as a Service) Software Developer

Overview
  • This Software Developer role is part of a Contact Center Technology organization, supporting platform representative and client solutions. In this environment, innovative thinking meets creative problem-solving, enabling teams to challenge the status quo and deliver impactful technology solutions.

Position Summary
  • The Software Developer is responsible for designing, creating, maintaining, and enhancing custom application solutions for contact center team members and business partners. This role involves leading discovery sessions, developing solution architecture, producing technical documentation, and providing knowledge transfer to internal support and engineering teams.
  • The ideal candidate will leverage strong database and web development expertise, along with experience in modern programming languages and frameworks such as Angular and JavaScript.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement technical solutions based on business requirements
  • Conduct discovery sessions and translate business needs into scalable architecture
  • Integrate multiple, dissimilar environments and implement leading-edge technologies
  • Develop and maintain custom voice applications, web portals/intranets, and dashboards using Angular, JavaScript, or equivalent technologies
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Work within an Agile framework to estimate work and deliver product features efficiently
  • Provide third-tier support for internal organizations, troubleshooting complex implementation issues
  • Collaborate with business partners to provide technical direction and guidance
  • Partner with professional services teams to evaluate and implement new technologies, frameworks, and architectures
  • Manage multiple projects of varying size and technical complexity
  • Maintain attention to detail while aligning work with broader organizational goals
  • Create clear, accurate technical documentation and deliver training to team members

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of hands-on technical experience in digital technologies and solutions
  • Experience with programming languages and tools such as:
    • Java / JavaScript
    • Angular framework
    • Python
    • C / C++
    • HTML
    • SDK & XML (SCXML/VXML is a plus)
  • Understanding of contact center technologies (e.g., CXOne, WFM, Nexidia, or other CCaaS platforms)
  • Knowledge of telecommunications, VoIP, and computer network design
  • Familiarity with configuring and troubleshooting network infrastructure components such as TCP/IP, routers, proxies, and load balancers
  • Understanding of IP telephony deployment across cloud, LAN, and WAN environments
  • Ability to create clear engineering and architecture implementation documentation
  • Experience analyzing and resolving code-related issues under general supervision
  • Ability to transfer knowledge and deliver training materials to support teams

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Angular
  • Experience with SQL, VB.NET, and HTML/CSS
