Technical Support TechnicianOn-SitePosition OverviewA Technical Support Technician is needed to provide hands-on assistance for end users across a wide range of devices. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting deployments, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation. The position is fully on-site and requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support- Provide in-person assistance for end users experiencing hardware or software issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems involving computers, peripherals, and mobile devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and general applications.
Hardware Maintenance- Set up and deploy new computers and related equipment.
- Perform basic hardware repairs, upgrades, and component replacements.
- Coordinate with internal teams to request replacement parts or additional equipment.
Software Support- Assist users with installing, configuring, and updating software.
- Troubleshoot application errors, compatibility issues, and system performance problems.
- Provide guidance on software usage and general best practices.
Problem Resolution & Escalation- Log all issues and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to team members when needed.
- Follow up with users to confirm successful resolution and gather feedback.
Asset Management- Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory.
- Track the allocation, movement, and retirement of IT assets.
Skills & Attributes- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Basic understanding of IT security and data protection best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training is a plus.
- Experience providing deskside or technical support preferred.
- Familiarity with general operating systems and productivity software.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Jeffersonville, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
