Job Overview:
The Senior UX/UI Designer is a key member of the Experience Design (XD) team, driving user-centered design to enhance customer and business group experiences.

As a designer, you will collaborate with cross-functional XD squads throughout the digital product lifecycle to create innovative and meaningful solutions that deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead design activities to create industry-leading experiences for clients, teammates, and the business.
  • Oversee medium-to-large projects and tailor deliverables to balance product requirements, platform constraints, and stakeholder needs.
  • Translate complex business requirements and functional specifications into design roadmaps.
  • Design information architecture, user interfaces, and interactions for services and experiences.
  • Ensure designs align with the design system and industry best practices.
  • Create process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, interaction models, and low-to-high fidelity prototypes.
  • Develop and maintain detailed user interface specifications for development teams.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of designs.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
  • Evaluate and assist in implementing new software tools and technologies.
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to team growth and development.
  • Advocate for user-centered design and champion user experience principles.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
  • Participate in and/or conduct observational and usability research.
  • Engage in SAFe Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, Inspect & Adapt, PI Planning, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with XD Accessibility Analysts to ensure designs meet accessibility standards.
  • Ensure compliance with risk management programs, regulations, and cybersecurity practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and apply disciplined change management practices.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and six years of experience in experience design, or a High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years of related post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience in experience design.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe, etc.

Preferences:
  • Experience designing in insurance, financial, or highly-regulated industries.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance.
  • Strong design process and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced skills in experience design, interaction design, information architecture, accessibility, research, product design, and/or user interface design.
  • Proficiency in working with and contributing to design systems.
  • Ability to independently define requirements, scope projects, and prioritize tasks.
  • Demonstrated accountability, initiative, and flexibility.
  • Empathy for customers and a consumer-centric mindset.
  • Strong technical acumen to effectively communicate with tech leads and engineers.
  • Self-motivation and a strong work ethic.

Pay Range: $70-80
