Location: Juno Beach, Florida (Onsite)
Pay rate: range between $50-$65/hr based on experience
Role Overview
This role is responsible for performing engineering assignments that range from limited scope to advanced projects requiring expertise across multiple disciplines. The position involves working with increasing independence based on experience. The role may involve project management, negotiations, performance tracking, and reporting, with a focus on utility-scale solar, BESS, and power plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage engineering projects, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Lead technical teams and engage in decision-making, technical analysis, and project coordination.
- Ensure engineering designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and long-term performance goals.
- Oversee design development, permitting, and compliance for energy infrastructure.
- Support detailed technical assessments, engineering design reviews, and compliance verifications.
- Bridge the gap between conceptual engineering and field execution, applying best practices.
- Manage negotiations and stakeholder relationships to ensure technical compliance and project success.
- A valid driver's license is required for this position.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience leading engineering teams and providing oversight for major energy infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills:- Electrical/I&C: Electric distribution systems, power systems, ladder logic, safe shutdown analysis, and computational tools (ETAP, EDISON).
- Mechanical: Pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and pipe stress analysis (ASME standards).
- Civil/Structural: Design and management of civil infrastructure, foundations, site grading, drainage, seismic qualification, pipe supports, GT Strudel, welding, and rigging.
- MOV Valve: Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and valve program management.
- Word.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Professional Engineering (PE) certification is preferred.
