Job Title: Non-IT Project Manager
Location: Knoxville, TN (7300 Chapman Hwy). Hybrid, 3 days onsite. Candidate selects onsite days.
Other location options: Atlanta, GA (2 Concourse Pkwy NE, Ste 800), Charlotte, NC (214 N Tryon St), Portland/Gresham, OR (17650 NE Sandy Blvd).
Duration: Contract - 8 months
Pay Range: $44/hr (W2)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (time zone flexible)
Parking: Free in Knoxville, Atlanta (with pass), and Portland/Gresham. Not free in Charlotte, average $17/day.
Interviews: Virtual panel preferred, 2-3 leaders, 1-2 rounds, on camera preferred.

Job Description
The Strategic Execution (SE) team for U.S. Bank Operations designs and delivers strategic initiatives that improve efficiency and effectiveness across expenses, risk, customer and employee experience, and operational metrics. The team operates as an internal strategy consulting function focused on U.S. Bank. As a Non-IT Project Manager on the SE team, you will manage complex, cross-functional initiatives from ideation through benefit delivery while partnering with senior leaders and stakeholders across Operations and the broader bank.
Responsibilities:
- Execute initiatives that support U.S. Bank Operations strategy.
- Lead initiatives through ideation, scoping, funding (CapEx and OpEx), execution, and benefit realization.
- Design, plan, and deliver one or more concurrent initiatives.
- Apply SE standards for deliverables, project management, progress reporting, and risk and issue management.
- Create reporting to meet stakeholder needs and provide governance across initiatives.
- Develop trusted relationships with senior leaders and key business partners.
- Support financial management and tracking of initiative budgets and benefits.
- Contribute thought leadership on banking, consulting practices, analytics, and execution disciplines.
- Support the vision, brand, strategy, and operating model of the SE function.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7+ years driving large-scale, enterprise-wide transformation in financial services or top-tier consulting.
- Proven delivery of strategic and operational transformations with measurable outcomes.
- Master's degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to operate in a high-expectations environment with ownership mindset.
- Strong strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and storyboarding skills.
- Executive presence and ability to influence without authority.
- Comfort with ambiguity and change, with strong organization and detail orientation.
- Consultative approach and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in banking operations or with Big Four/top-tier consulting firms.
- Working knowledge across banking, finance, consulting, and enterprise transformation.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and ongoing education.
