Job Description
We are seeking a Non-IT Project Manager - Strategic Execution to join our dynamic team supporting U.S. Bank Operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in leading enterprise-wide strategic and operational transformations and a proven ability to deliver cross-functional initiatives from ideation through benefit realization.
Role Summary
The Strategic Execution (SE) team for U.S. Bank Operations designs and delivers initiatives that improve efficiency and effectiveness across expenses, risk, customer and employee experience, and operational productivity and quality. The team operates as an internal strategy consulting group focused on U.S. Bank, ranging from rapid problem solving to leading multi-year programs with stakeholders across Operations and the broader enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Execute initiatives aligned to U.S. Bank Operations strategy.
- Lead initiatives through ideation, scoping, funding (CapEx and OpEx), execution, and benefit delivery.
- Design, manage, and deliver one or more initiatives concurrently across business areas.
- Apply and propagate SE standards for deliverables, project management, reporting, and risk/issue management.
- Create and maintain reporting to meet stakeholder needs and provide initiative governance.
- Develop trusted relationships with senior leaders and key business partners across Operations and the bank.
- Support financial management of initiatives, including budgets and benefits tracking.
- Contribute thought leadership on industry trends, banking operations, consulting practices, and analytics.
- Support shaping the vision, brand, strategy, and execution of the SE function.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7+ years delivering large-scale, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives in financial services or top-tier consulting.
- Demonstrated success managing strategic and operational transformations.
- Master's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to operate in a demanding, high-standards environment with ownership mindset.
- Exceptional strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and storyboarding skills with executive presence and influence without authority.
- Comfort with ambiguity, strong organization, and adaptability to change.
- Consultative approach and effective communication skills, written and verbal.
- Proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in banking operations or with top-tier consulting firms.
- Working knowledge across banking, finance, consulting, and enterprise transformation domains.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and continuing education.
