Senior Manager, Software Engineering

Your Leadership Scope
You ll take ownership of a mixed-capacity engineering group approximately 14 developers (a blend of full-time engineers and contractors). In this role, you will:
- Lead, coach, and develop engineers across varying levels of experience
- Drive measurable outcomes across delivery, quality, and operational health
- Own end-to-end delivery for critical products and initiatives
- Promote engineering best practices across performance, security, reliability, and automation
- Partner closely with Product, Architecture, and business stakeholders to align priorities and strategy
- Foster a culture anchored in accountability, autonomy, learning, and continuous improvement

Our Technology Landscape

- Cloud: AWS (EC2, S3, CloudFormation, Lambda)
- CI/CD & Tooling: Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, Dynatrace, Snyk, AI-assisted development tools
- E-commerce: Modern microservices architecture, with Hybris supporting key legacy capabilities
This is not a maintenance role you will be actively guiding a technology transformation.

What You Bring
We re looking for a leader who has:
- Experience managing and elevating high-performing engineering teams (7-15 engineers is ideal)
- A proven ability to increase delivery velocity, engineering quality, or cultural health
- Strong coaching experience with mid-level and senior engineers
- The ability to collaborate with Product partners while still owning delivery outcomes
- A balance of strategic thinking and disciplined execution
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset
