About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced Transactional Systems Engineer with deep expertise in Cedar Gate's EZ Suite, particularly EZCap, to join a growing healthcare organization. This role will serve as the primary technical and functional owner of the EZ Suite platform, supporting both the business and technical aspects of the application.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience administering, configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing EZCap and related Cedar Gate applications. The organization is bringing more ownership of the platform in-house, making this a highly visible role that will partner closely with business users, IT leadership, and external vendors.
While the preference is for candidates who can work in a hybrid capacity in Long Beach, CA, fully remote candidates with strong EZCap experience will also be considered.
What You'll Be Doing
- Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for Cedar Gate's EZ Suite, including EZCap, EZEDI, and EZCare.
- Configure, support, and optimize system workflows, business rules, and application functionality.
- Lead software upgrades, releases, hotfixes, patches, testing, deployment, and validation activities.
- Provide production support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and improve operational processes through system enhancements and automation.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate support cases, escalations, and system improvements.
- Support integrations with enterprise systems, EDI transactions, APIs, reporting platforms, and healthcare interoperability solutions.
- Maintain system documentation and ensure compliance with change management, security, HIPAA, and IT governance standards.
- Support healthcare operational workflows including claims, eligibility, authorizations, provider management, and care management.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting healthcare applications, transactional systems, or business-critical healthcare platforms.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Cedar Gate EZCap (strongly preferred).
- Proven experience supporting the backend administration, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of EZCap environments.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations within an HMO, MSO, IPA, Medical Group, or Health Plan environment.

- Work authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EZEDI and EZCare.
- Working knowledge of SQL queries and reporting.
- Experience with APIs, integrations, and healthcare interoperability standards.
- Experience within structured change management and release management environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
