Title: Analyzing Technician (Analysis Technician)
Location: 2540 Galvin Drive, Elgin, IL
Interview Format: 30-minute interview, virtual via Google Meet or Onsite 45-minute onsite interview
Contract Duration: Immediate start, duration through the end of the year (possible extensions based on performances and needs of the business).
Shift:
1st Shift (6:00 am - 2:15 pm) - Orientation 6.30am
2nd shift (2.45pm - 11pm) - Orientation 3.00pm
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Analysis Technician to join our dedicated team for the 1st shift. Based at our state-of-the-art facility, you'll be responsible for board-level analysis of failed 2-way subscriber products (both mobile and portable 2-way radios). This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in testing, diagnosing, and repairing electronic assemblies to identify the root causes of failures.
Roles and Responsibilities
Analyze rejected electronic assemblies using various test equipment, simulators, and troubleshooting skills.
Troubleshoot and diagnose complex problems, define corrective actions, and communicate findings effectively.
Identify vendor vs. process defects and write detailed failure analysis reports.
Record data of failures and explain diagnoses clearly.
Work independently and adapt to varying conditions.
Support factory operations on weekends when required.
Qualifications & Skills
Associate's Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology required (Bachelor's preferred).
Proficiency in operating/setup of electronics equipment (signal generator, modulation/audio analyzers, spectrum analyzer, power meter, oscilloscopes, etc.).
RF knowledge and 1-3 years of related experience.
Ability to read and interpret schematics for component-level troubleshooting is a PLUS.
Extensive knowledge of 2-way subscriber products is a PLUS.
Strong electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills required.
100% onsite presence required.
Steel toe boots are mandatory.
Exposure to advanced electronic troubleshooting techniques and tools.
