Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Workday Talent & Performance Functional Consultant to join a large-scale enterprise Workday HCM implementation program. This role will serve as a key member of the functional team, providing expertise and support throughout the implementation lifecycle. The consultant will collaborate closely with internal business stakeholders and the implementation partner to successfully deliver the Workday Talent & Performance workstream from design through production readiness.
The ideal candidate will have strong functional knowledge of Workday Talent & Performance, experience supporting end-to-end Workday implementations, and the ability to guide business users through solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide functional expertise for the Workday Talent & Performance module throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and the implementation partner to gather requirements and translate business needs into Workday solutions.
- Participate in solution planning, functional design sessions, and business process workshops.
- Configure and validate Workday Talent & Performance functionality based on business requirements and Workday best practices.
- Support business process design, review, and optimization.
- Prepare and execute testing activities, including:
- Unit Testing
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Create and maintain functional design documents, configuration documentation, process flows, and decision logs.
- Document project decisions and prepare presentations for stakeholder review and project governance.
- Partner with technical teams to support and validate:
- Workday integrations
- Reports
- Security configurations
- Data conversion activities
- Assist with tenant build planning, configuration validation, and deployment readiness.
- Validate reports and dashboards to ensure business reporting requirements are met.
- Support data conversion planning, mapping, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Define and document production support processes, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Collaborate across Workday functional areas, including Core HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Learning, Reporting, and Security.
- Participate in issue resolution, defect management, risk identification, and production readiness planning.
- Recommend Workday best practices and process improvements throughout the implementation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of functional experience with Workday HCM.
- Hands-on experience implementing and supporting Workday Talent & Performance.
- Experience participating in at least one full lifecycle Workday HCM implementation.

- Workday Pro certification(s) in HCM and/or Talent.

- Knowledge of Workday implementation methodologies and deployment best practices.
- Experience supporting post-go-live stabilization and operational transition.
