Position: UI/UX Design Expert

Location: REMOTE

Duration: 6 Months Contract with Extension

We’re on the hunt for a creative and passionate UI/UX Designer to help shape the future of our next-generation color identification and mixing platform. You’ll partner with stakeholders, product managers, and customers to design an intuitive, visually stunning interface that makes color match effortless. This is a rare opportunity to join a project at its inception, and your ideas will directly influence the product’s vision, direction, and design from day one.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a comprehensive design system (components, patterns, guidelines, tokens, style guides) that supports responsive, accessible, and scalable product development.
• Partner with UI/UX designers, engineers, and product managers to ensure the design system meets user needs and technical requirements.
• Create clear, accessible documentation and usage guidelines for designers and developers.
• Establish processes for contributing to, updating, and maintaining the design system; review and approve new components and patterns.
• Promote adoption of the design system across teams, provide training, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Work with UI UX Designer/Researcher to develop wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to clearly communicate design concepts and interactions.
• Work with UI UX Designer/Researcher to conduct user research, build personas, and run usability tests to uncover insights and inform design decisions.
• Define and maintain design guidelines, best practices, and standards to ensure consistency across the platform.
• Stay ahead of emerging UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies to keep our product cutting-edge.

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proven UI and UX experience, with a sensitivity to user-system interaction.
• Solid understanding of user experience principles, responsive design, and mobile-first design strategies, with a strong portfolio
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design system creation, implementation, and impact.
• Experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.
• Deep expertise in Figma, component libraries, and design tokens.
• Up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process, collaborating with engineering teams using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
• A passion for creating engaging, functional, and visually appealing digital experiences.
