Required Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of work experience and 4+ years of experience managing development and validation processes across engineering teams.
  • Strong ability to understand technical concepts and effectively collaborate with software engineers
  • Experience in strategic planning for embedded or automotive software projects.
  • Practical experience applying SAFe Agile frameworks in real-world delivery environments.
  • Advanced experience using Jira for backlog management, grooming, and prioritization, with at least 3 years of experience writing user stories and features.
  • Advanced experience using Jama for requirements management and test plan management.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting Kernel-level, QNX, Android, or infrastructure platforms.
  • Background in software development, systems engineering, or embedded platforms.
  • Experience working in automation-heavy, CI/CD, or test-driven environments.
  • SAFe or Agile certifications, such as SAFe POPM or CSPO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Ownership and Backlog Management
  • Support Automation and Infrastructure teams working on Kernel, QNX, and Android platforms.
  • Define and document product features and user stories with a clear Definition of Done (DoD) and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure all features and stories are clearly linked to product and system-level requirements.
  • Own and prioritize the backlog to ensure teams focus on the highest-value work in each sprint.
  • Lead backlog refinement sessions with engineering teams to ensure stories are clear, feasible, and aligned with product strategy.

 Agile and SAFe Execution

  • Collaborate closely with Scrum Masters and Engineering Leads to drive predictable, iteration-based delivery.
  • Actively participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Apply SAFe Agile principles effectively within embedded and automotive development programs.
  • Partner with Senior Automation Engineers to drive automation-focused sprint execution and continuous improvement.

 Stakeholder and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary liaison between engineering teams and product, program, and stakeholder groups.
  • Communicate priorities, dependencies, risks, and delivery progress clearly and proactively.
  • Align business priorities with technical constraints and development capacity.

Development-Focused Leadership

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of software development terminology, workflows, and dependencies.
  • Effectively drive development-centric activities and ensure adequate exposure to development and validation processes.
  • Manage collaboration between development and validation teams to support quality, compliance, and timely delivery.
