Senior Software Engineer (.NET / Cloud Platform) A growing software company in the financial services technology sector is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its platform engineering organization. This is a full-time opportunity based in Coppell, TX, with a hybrid schedule requiring three days onsite each week. The environment is centered around C#, .NET, cloud technologies, distributed systems, and modern API development.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys owning technical solutions from concept through deployment. The organization is actively modernizing core systems, transitioning functionality out of a legacy architecture into scalable microservices, and investing in next-generation AI capabilities. The team is looking for someone who can contribute to architecture discussions, influence technical direction, and help build foundational services used across the organization. Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of software engineering experience
Strong hands-on development experience with C# and .NET
Experience building and supporting REST APIs
Cloud experience using AWS and/or Azure
Experience designing and developing microservices
Strong SQL and relational database knowledge
Experience participating in architecture and technical design discussions
Ability to independently drive technical initiatives

Desired Skills & Experience

Kafka or other event-streaming technologies
Event-driven architecture experience
NoSQL database experience
Experience modernizing legacy applications
Experience decomposing monolithic systems
Daily use of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar platforms
Financial services or SaaS industry experience

Design and build backend services supporting platform-wide capabilities
Develop scalable APIs and integrations
Partner with architects and engineering leadership on technical direction
Participate in platform modernization initiatives
Improve system reliability, scalability, and maintainability
Contribute to AI-focused engineering initiatives and productivity improvements

The Offer

Base Salary: $130,000 - $180,000
Bonus Eligibility: Up to 10% annual target bonus
