About The Position

Intuitive Machines is seeking a Staff Level Design Engineer to join our team. This position will support our growing Lunar Lander Team. The applicant will be located on-site in Houston, TX. The candidate will work in a cross-functional team on the development, manufacture, test, and on-orbit operation of flight, and ground support hardware, such as Lunar Lander Structure and secondary systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Design parts for the Lunar Lander, Satellite, Nebula or Zephyrsystem team
  • Generate drawings, piece part and assembly drawings using CAD
  • Generate lifting and operational procedure drawings and models
  • Assist indeveloping manufacturing products

Qualifications:

  • B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline and minimum of10years of experience in mechanical engineering design or related discipline; or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline and a minimum of7years of experience
  • Experience with CAD software, Creo orSolidworks
  • Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 and related standards
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite

  • Minimum 4 years of CAD design experience, portfolio requested but not required

Preferred
  • Skilled(6+yrs)in the use ofSolidworksand/or Creo
  • Understanding of design methodology, basics of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and manufacturingtechniques
  • Experience with carbon fiber or carbon fiber sandwich panels preferred
  • Familiarity or exposure to NASA and Mil Spec standards
