About the Role

We are looking for a Mid-Senior AI Tooling Developer to lead the design, development, and scaling of AI-powered internal tooling. You will architect solutions leveraging large language models for automated code analysis, security scanning, and developer productivity.

This role requires strong ownership, architectural thinking, and the ability to adapt to evolving requirements. You will also mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of AI-powered tools using Python and LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude)
Architect scalable, maintainable systems for automation, code analysis, and developer workflows
Manage API integrations with a focus on security, credential handling, rate limiting, and resilience
Build and optimize integrations with Azure DevOps and GitHub (repositories, pipelines, pull requests, work items)
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps teams
Develop and refine prompt engineering strategies for LLM-based workflows
Own database design and data architecture using SQL
Establish coding standards, review processes, and technical documentation
Mentor junior developers and support team growth
Evaluate and adopt emerging AI tools, frameworks, and technologies

Qualifications

Required

5+ years of professional software development experience
Strong proficiency in Python with production-level application development (required)
Deep experience with REST APIs, including authentication, secure integrations, and third-party orchestration
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or similar)
Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs into real-world applications
Strong understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies, and code reviews
Solid experience with database design and SQL
Proven ability to own and deliver projects end-to-end
Strong problem-solving skills and architectural judgment
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments

Preferred

Experience with Anthropic/Claude API
Background in prompt engineering, AI agents, or LLM application architecture
Experience within the Azure DevOps ecosystem
Familiarity with rapid prototyping frameworks (e.g., Streamlit, Gradio)
Proven experience mentoring junior developers
