Position Summary
The Intersect Group is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large scale Finance Transformation and Enterprise Performance Management initiatives. This role will be accountable for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects involving foundational data restructuring, financial planning modernization, and enterprise system integration.
The ideal candidate will drive end to end project delivery while coordinating cross functional teams across Finance, HR, IT, business stakeholders, and external implementation partners. This individual will ensure projects remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with business objectives while proactively managing risks, dependencies, and organizational change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of foundational data model restructuring and enterprise planning transformation projects
• Own project scope, schedule, budget, resource planning, and overall project governance
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, risk mitigation strategies, and resource allocation models
• Coordinate cross functional teams and external vendors to define project requirements, milestones, and deliverables
• Ensure successful integration and compatibility across Workday, Workday Adaptive Planning, OneStream Planning, and related enterprise systems
• Monitor project health, manage dependencies, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans to address project challenges
• Facilitate project status meetings and provide clear progress updates, financial reporting, RAID logs, and executive summaries to leadership teams
• Manage project closure activities, conduct lessons learned reviews, and ensure seamless transition to business operations and support teams
Key Requirements
• 10+ years of project management experience leading enterprise system implementations and transformation initiatives
• Bachelor''s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
• PMP, Scrum Master, or comparable project management certification preferred
• Strong expertise with Workday, OneStream Planning, Hyperion Planning, HFM, Oracle Essbase, and related EPM platforms
• Experience with data modeling, system integration, financial planning processes, and enterprise performance management solutions
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, or Azure DevOps
• Demonstrated success leading Finance Transformation programs involving multiple systems, stakeholders, and third party vendors
• Strong understanding of Agile and traditional project management methodologies and software development life cycle practices
• Experience managing remotely located project teams and driving collaboration across distributed environments
• Exceptional communication, organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with experience engaging executives, vendors, and cross functional teams
• Strong business acumen, attention to detail, problem solving skills, and ability to manage competing priorities in fast paced environments
• Proven ability to take ownership, drive accountability, and deliver results against aggressive project timelines
