Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Physical Security Systems Engineer with deep hands-on expertise in enterprise Physical Access Control Systems (PACS), access-control design, credential technologies, video surveillance and industrial security environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing and deploying enterprise physical security solutions using platforms such as Genetec Security Center, LenelS2 OnGuard, C CURE 9000 and/or Honeywell Pro-Watch.
This role requires a combination of physical security technology expertise, detailed system design, field deployment knowledge, commissioning and integrator oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure and deploy enterprise Physical Access Control Systems (PACS).
- Develop access-control architectures including clearance models, security zones, anti-passback, multi-factor readers, mantraps and turnstiles.
- Design and manage enterprise credential solutions including HID Seos, DESFire, mobile credentials and badge lifecycle management.
- Design video-surveillance solutions including camera placement, VMS configuration, retention sizing and video/AI analytics.
- Design ALPR/LPR and vehicle-access systems, including lane layouts, camera positioning, gate controls, intercoms and exception workflows.
- Design emergency mustering and personnel-accountability systems, including offline operations and muster-point hardware.
- Engineer physical security solutions for industrial and high-risk environments.
- Select appropriate security hardware for hazardous and corrosive environments, including ATEX / Class I Division 2 applications.
- Integrate physical security infrastructure with plant safety systems such as fire alarms and gas-detection systems.
- Support security requirements and controls associated with applicable regulatory and industry standards.
- Lead or support multi-site physical security deployments, legacy PACS migrations and badge-cutover activities.
- Develop detailed engineering and implementation documentation, including security-system designs, door schedules, commissioning procedures and test plans.
- Supervise and evaluate security-system integrator installation and commissioning quality.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one enterprise PACS platform, such as:
- Genetec Security Center
- LenelS2 OnGuard
- C CURE 9000
- Honeywell Pro-Watch
- Strong enterprise access-control system design experience.
- Experience with access zones, clearance models, anti-passback, readers, mantraps and/or turnstiles.
- Knowledge of credential technologies such as HID Seos, DESFire and mobile credentials.
- Strong video-surveillance and VMS design experience.
- Experience producing physical security engineering/design documentation.
- Experience supporting system commissioning, testing and security integrators.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation and technical communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Genetec, LenelS2 or other relevant physical security technology certifications.
- Experience with ALPR/LPR and vehicle-access systems.
- Emergency mustering/personnel-accountability system experience.
- Experience supporting chemical, industrial, manufacturing or other high-risk facilities.
- Knowledge of hazardous-location equipment, including ATEX and/or Class I Division 2.
- Experience with fire alarm, gas detection or plant safety system integration.
- Familiarity with CFATS, MTSA and ISO 27001 physical security controls.
- Experience with global/multi-site PACS rollouts and legacy-system migrations.
