Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Architect to design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale cloud data platforms. This is a hands-on architecture role requiring deep expertise in Snowflake, modern data engineering, cloud technologies, and AI-enabled data solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading end-to-end Snowflake implementations, build scalable data architectures, and delivering high-performance, cost-optimized enterprise data platforms.

Required Skills

  • 15+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and Cloud Data Platforms.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and implementation.
  • Expertise in designing enterprise-scale Snowflake solutions, including data modeling, security, governance, and performance optimization.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Snowpark (Python/Scala)
    • Snowpipe
    • Streams & Tasks
    • Time Travel & Zero-Copy Cloning
    • Virtual Warehouses & Resource Monitors
  • Experience implementing cost optimization, workload management, and Snowflake governance strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Vault 2.0, Star Schema, and dimensional data modeling.
  • Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, Spark, or cloud-native technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong background integrating Snowflake with enterprise data lakes and modern analytics platforms.

AI & Modern Data Platform Experience

  • Experience with Snowflake Cortex AI and AI-powered data services.
  • Knowledge of GenAI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Vector Search, and Vector Databases.
  • Experience preparing enterprise data for AI/ML workloads.
  • Integration experience with platforms such as AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, or Databricks.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement enterprise-grade Snowflake data platforms from design through production.
  • Design scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud data architectures.
  • Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and technical prototypes for enterprise clients.
  • Optimize Snowflake performance, storage, query execution, and compute costs.
  • Build and automate modern ELT pipelines using Snowpark and cloud-native technologies.
  • Implement data governance, security, and data-sharing solutions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and client leadership to deliver enterprise data solutions.
  • Mentor engineering teams and establish best practices for Snowflake architecture and cloud data engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience migrating large-scale enterprise data warehouses (Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop, SQL Server, etc.) to Snowflake.
  • Experience with Snowflake Data Sharing, Marketplace, or Secure Data Clean Rooms.
  • Strong consulting, client-facing, and solution architecture experience.
  • Snowflake and Cloud (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) certifications are highly preferred.
