Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle DBA / Oracle SME to support enterprise production and non-production database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration, database provisioning, backup and recovery, high availability/disaster recovery, performance tuning, security, monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation.
The candidate must be able to independently administer and support database environments and resolve complex database issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Oracle databases in production and non-production environments.
- Perform Oracle database installation, configuration, provisioning, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
- Manage Oracle Grid and Oracle RMAN environments.
- Perform database backup, restore, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
- Support Oracle High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
- Perform database performance tuning and optimization.
- Monitor database environments and configure monitoring and alerting.
- Implement and maintain database security, encryption, auditing, and compliance controls.
- Develop and maintain database scripts and automation.
- Troubleshoot database incidents and perform root-cause analysis (RCA).
- Identify recurring issues and implement preventive solutions.
- Support database administration across production and non-production environments.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams on database-related issues and integrations.

- SQL / Microsoft SQL Server familiarity
- MS Access exposure
- Oracle database provisioning and configuration
- Backup, restore, recovery, and Disaster Recovery (DR)

- Database installation, upgrades, patching, and maintenance
- Performance tuning and optimization
- Database monitoring and alerting
- Security, encryption, auditing, and compliance

- Ability to independently administer production and non-production database environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior GPO (U.S. Government Publishing Office) experience is strongly preferred.
- If GPO experience is not available, strong U.S. Federal Government Oracle DBA experience is preferred.
- Experience supporting enterprise or mission-critical database environments is desirable.
Certification
- Oracle Database certification(s) are preferred/relevant for this position.
- Candidates should provide documentation of any additional relevant certifications they hold, including database, cloud, Microsoft SQL Server, or other directly related technical certifications.
Additional Requirement
