Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sr. IT Project Manager for an opportunity with one of our premier clients in Oshkosh, WI.

We are seeking an experienced IT Digital Transformation Project Manager to lead enterprise technology initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role will drive digital transformation projects that improve operational efficiency, modernize systems, and enhance data visibility across materials management, inventory control, and manufacturing operations.

The Senior Project Manager - Digital Technology (DT) is responsible for leading and delivering multiple digital and IT initiatives across the organization. This role manages projects from initiation through post-implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives while maintaining effective communication, schedule management, budget oversight, risk mitigation, and scope control.
The Senior Project Manager leads large, complex, and cross-segment projects that may impact multiple business units, geographic locations, enterprise systems, and manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with Digital Technology teams, manufacturing leadership, operations stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver technology solutions that support production efficiency, operational performance, and digital transformation initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of Digital Technology projects in alignment with the Global DT project delivery methodology.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, status reports, and communications to ensure stakeholders remain informed of project progress, risks, and milestones.
  • Coordinate and lead project team and stakeholder meetings, including preparation of agendas, documentation of decisions, and follow-up on action items.
  • Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, implement mitigation strategies, and proactively manage changes to maintain project success.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and requirements in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders, including manufacturing operations, supply chain, and plant leadership.
  • Lead technology initiatives that support manufacturing systems, operational processes, plant operations, and production efficiency improvements.
  • Build and lead cross-functional project teams by working with resource managers to identify roles, responsibilities, and assignments.
  • Mentor and guide project team members and stakeholders on PMO processes, project governance, and best practices.
  • Manage project financial performance, including planning, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to ensure projects remain within approved budgets.
  • Utilize DT project management tools and methodologies to monitor progress, track deliverables, and ensure timely project completion.
  • Collaborate with the Global Purchasing Team to manage procurement activities related to project products, services, and vendor engagements.
  • Ensure delivery of key project management artifacts and documentation, including but not limited to Project Management Plans, Project Schedules, Scope Change Requests, and Status Reports.
  • Support digital initiatives that improve manufacturing visibility, operational data insights, plant automation, and integration with enterprise systems (ERP, MES, or related platforms).
  • Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance project management practices, tools, and processes within the Digital Technology organization.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT or Digital Technology project management or a related role.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including operations, manufacturing, or supply chain stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, including occasional visits to manufacturing facilities.


Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in IT or Digital Technology project management.
  • Experience delivering technology projects within manufacturing, industrial, or operations-driven environments.
  • Experience supporting or implementing solutions related to manufacturing systems, plant operations, MES, ERP integrations, or operational technology (OT).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or other Agile certification.
  • Experience with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools such as Clarity, ServiceNow, or SharePoint.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of PMBOK principles and project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).
  • Experience managing project budgets exceeding $250K ($500K preferred).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in fast-paced environments with evolving operational requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to apply a consultative approach to solving business and operational challenges.
