Description
We are looking for an experienced Report Developer to join our team on a contract basis in Augusta, Maine. In this role, you will work closely with business and technical teams to create, validate, and enhance reporting solutions using advanced tools and technologies. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to modernization efforts and ensure compliance with industry standards while delivering high-quality reports.
Responsibilities:
Analyze functional requirements to design and document effective reporting solutions.
Develop and validate new reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Report Studio.
Collaborate with stakeholders to promote self-service reporting capabilities and streamline report development.
Rewrite and modernize codebases to comply with W3C standards for internet browsers and Federal ADA requirements.
Utilize tools such as Eclipse and WebLogic to ensure application compatibility and optimization.
Apply advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to create compliant and accessible applications.
Work with Oracle database technologies, including Toad for Oracle, to optimize reporting processes.
Implement Agile or similar project management frameworks to manage report development effectively.
Communicate with technical and business personnel to resolve challenges and ensure accurate reporting outcomes.
Identify opportunities for enhancements and modifications to improve reporting capabilities.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in report development and programming.
Proficiency in SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and SQL Server.
Strong expertise in Eclipse, Java, and WebLogic server technologies.
Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for standards compliance.
Familiarity with Oracle databases and tools, such as Toad for Oracle.
Understanding of Agile project management methodologies.
Ability to translate complex technical problems into actionable solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration and documentation.
