Summary

Key Responsibilities • Manage the delivery of Infrastructure projects within agreed scope, standards, budget, time scales, and tolerances. • Responsible for supporting IT infrastructure builds and expansion • Effectively lead and motivate project teams through the tasks of developing and executing project objectives. • Manages stakeholder expectations and communication flow as they relate to project deliverables, scope, and the internal project team. • Run effective meetings with both internal (project team(s) & steering committee) and external third parties while ensuring that all meetings are captured, actions assigned with deadlines and published. • Defines and manages team expectations regarding scope of work and responsibilities. • Accurately anticipates and catches deviations from a plan or schedule early to assess their impact to the schedule and to keep stakeholders informed. • Ensure that all risks and issues are captured and managed throughout all phases of the project lifecycle • Manage vendor relationships as it relates to the project. • Coordinates across departments to manage day-to-day workflow to ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget. • Ensures internal systems are updated with the necessary information to ensure all team members, managers and directors can access the necessary project and/or resource related information. • Demonstrated ability to follow project management methodology, plan and implement projects on time and within budget. • Proficient at leading the project team in defining the project deliverables, milestones, resource plan, communication plan, testing plan and schedule. • In-depth understanding of business systems lifecycle and associated implementation methodologies, tools, and techniques. • Manage the entire project lifecycle from project definition (charter) through implementation. • Accountable for meeting agreed upon scope, cost, schedule, and quality measures. • Establishes effective communication plan with project team and key stakeholders. • Ensures effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project. Interpersonal Skills: • Willingness and acumen to learn and adopt new technologies/enhancements • Positive attitude towards work and team • Ability to break complex problems into pieces and approach solutions. • Ability to accept new challenges in the role. • Ability to independently work on complex projects related to services with little or no assistance from others. • Ability to understand the business requirements thoroughly and convert those requirements into proper technical solutions to achieve the required goals. • Able to identify the gaps in the processes and propose appropriate changes required for improvement. • Able to identify new opportunities for technological improvements and as well optimally utilize the existing used features Desirable skills and qualifications: • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in developing requirements related to State Government business processes. • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with the State of California PAL Process • Minimum of two (2) years of years of experience in developing requirements in the State of California related to business processes. • Experience on State of California IT projects in a leadership role - [Desirable] • Previous consulting experiences have a distinct advantage. • Experience working in Agile Development is highly desirable.
