Lead Developer - Adobe AEM Forms Migration

The Lead Developer will provide technical leadership for the migration of 232 internal eForms from legacy Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) 6.3 (on-premise) to AEM 6.5 on Adobe Managed Services (AMS) for TxDOT.

The Lead Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing AEM Forms solutions including user interfaces, components, workflows, and integrations. This role requires deep expertise in legacy-to-modern AEM migration, Adobe Forms technologies, and enterprise document workflows.

The developer will collaborate with project leadership, architects, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure successful delivery of modernized forms while maintaining functional parity with the legacy environment.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the migration of legacy AEM 6.3 eForms to AEM 6.5 on Adobe Managed Services (AMS)
Convert XDP/PDF forms to HTML Forms or Adaptive Forms
Preserve existing business logic, workflows, and integrations during migration
Implement Adobe Sign integrations where required
Maintain Document of Record (DOR) generation functionality
Support downloadable PDF versions of forms when required
Ensure WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility compliance across all modernized forms
Perform security, performance, and integration testing for migrated forms
Design and develop AEM Forms components, templates, and workflows
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development team members
Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to ensure successful implementation

Required Skills and Experience

8+ years experience developing Adobe AEM Forms user interfaces, components, workflows, and integrations

8+ years experience working with Adobe Experience Manager Forms

Experience implementing Adobe Sign integrations

Strong expertise performing legacy-to-modern AEM migrations

Experience converting XDP/PDF forms into Adaptive Forms or HTML forms

Experience supporting Document of Record (DOR) generation

Experience ensuring WCAG accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.x standards)

Experience supporting enterprise forms integrations and workflows
