Junior Project Manager (Governance)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Maryland Heights, MO that is seeking a Junior Project Manager (Governance).

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to support project governance efforts within the Credit and Fraud organization. This role operates within an IT/SDLC environment and is ideal for someone early in their project management career who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow long-term within a fast-paced organization. This is not a traditional end-to-end project management role. Instead, this individual will play a critical supporting role by ensuring organization, documentation, and alignment across multiple initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
* Support project governance activities across Credit & Fraud initiatives
* Attend meetings, capture detailed notes, and track key action items and decisions
* Assist in connecting cross-functional teams by identifying dependencies, risks, and gaps
* Maintain and update project documentation, trackers, and reporting artifacts
* Help ensure adherence to SDLC processes and project management best practices
* Provide coordination support across stakeholders, including IT, business, and leadership teams
* Monitor project progress and escalate issues or risks as needed
* Assist with status reporting, dashboards, and communication updates

REQUIREMENTS:
* 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or similar role
* Exposure to IT environments and understanding of SDLC methodologies
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
* Ability to take thorough, structured notes and translate discussions into actionable items
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar)
* Willingness to work onsite 4 days per week

Preferred Qualifications:
* PMP, CAPM, or working toward certification is a plus
* Experience supporting governance or PMO functions
* Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project delivery models
* Exposure to Credit, Risk, or Fraud-related projects

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
