Role: Construction Engineer

Location: New Berlin, WI (Hybrid: 2 days office / 3 days remote)

Job Summary

seeking an experienced Engineer - Construction III to support the 5G Home (5GHR) initiative across multiple markets. This role will focus on coordinating and managing wireless infrastructure construction projects, including cell site upgrades, Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) deployments, and Multi-Tenant Unit (MTU) modifications.

The successful candidate will oversee project milestones, manage large project portfolios, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure engineering and construction activities remain on schedule. This is primarily an office-based project coordination role with minimal field involvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction and engineering activities for 5G Home deployment projects.
  • Coordinate wireless cell site upgrades and in-building wireless projects.
  • Track project milestones, schedules, and deliverables across numerous active projects.
  • Maintain and update project databases and reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Drive project execution and ensure timely completion of objectives.
  • Prepare status reports and present project updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Analyze project data and provide recommendations to improve performance.
  • Support vendor management and construction coordination efforts.

Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience managing construction engineering projects.
  • Experience supporting wireless cell sites, telecom construction, or in-building wireless deployments.
  • Strong understanding of wireless infrastructure project lifecycles.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with large cross-functional teams.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Network Engineering organizations.
  • Working knowledge of systems such as FUZE and Minerva.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience working with engineering and construction vendors.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Experience with Google Workspace applications (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
  • Ability to deliver presentations and communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Highly motivated, adaptable, and quick learner.
