Senior Network Engineer


Location: Norcross, GA
Employment Type: Full-Time


Overview


We are seeking a hands-on Senior Network Engineer to support and enhance enterprise network infrastructure across corporate offices, manufacturing facilities, data centers, and cloud-connected environments. This role will be responsible for network operations, security, wireless infrastructure, and strategic initiatives involving Zero Trust architecture, SASE technologies, and IT/OT network segmentation.


Key Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure & Wireless

  • Administer and support enterprise LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and related network services.
  • Manage and support enterprise wireless environments.
  • Serve as a Tier 2/Tier 3 escalation point for complex networking issues.
  • Work with service providers and vendors to resolve connectivity and performance issues.
  • Maintain network diagrams, documentation, and operational standards.


Network Security

  • Implement and maintain firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, and access controls.
  • Support Zero Trust and SASE initiatives, including secure remote access solutions.
  • Participate in network security assessments, remediation efforts, and infrastructure hardening.
  • Monitor network performance and security posture across multiple locations.


Manufacturing & OT Networking

  • Lead network segmentation initiatives between corporate IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments.
  • Design and document secure network architectures for manufacturing facilities.
  • Partner with Infrastructure, Security, Engineering, and Operations teams to support critical business systems.
  • Conduct testing, validation, and post-deployment support for network projects.


Project Delivery

  • Participate in network modernization, upgrade, and infrastructure refresh projects.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.
  • Ensure documentation, standards, and change management processes are followed.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or global network environments.
  • Strong background in routing, switching, wireless networking, and network security.
  • Experience administering enterprise firewall platforms and secure remote access solutions.
  • Knowledge of VLANs, TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, SD-WAN, and network monitoring tools.
  • Experience with cloud networking in Azure and/or AWS.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and project leadership skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Juniper switching and wireless technologies.
  • Experience with Fortinet security products.
  • Experience with SASE and Zero Trust platforms such as Cato, Zscaler, Netskope, Prisma Access, or similar technologies.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, or Operational Technology (OT) environments.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, MFA, SSO, and identity-based access controls.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux server environments.


Preferred Certifications

  • CCNP, JNCIS, or equivalent networking certifications.
  • CCNA, CWNA, Fortinet, or other relevant networking/security certifications.
